It is possible I just made it up, however, nowadays the retail industry seems to make up their own rules when it comes to holiday shopping. Black Friday started at dinner time at some stores this year claiming that they are trying to save lives. So in the spirit of the holiday season, I have looked for a deal to make today special!

I had a toy something like that when I was little.
My toys were so simple back then, my favorites were the glo worm, which is still made and the telephone, which someone actually bought for my Godson for his birthday this year. Thanks for stopping by today Chasing Joy!

I hosted a giveaway and from the number of entries – it seems lots of parents feel the same way.
Sometimes its hard to find quality toys. When I was growing up things were made to last. I STILL have some of my toys from when I was little, put away in the attic for when my kids finally come. When I would look for toys for my nieces and nephew, I had a hard time finding things that would last, most of the items that are sold these days do not. My daughter LOVES push toys. I think it’s one reason she walked so early. She was running around well before she celebrated her first birthday. Love Melissa & Doug overall. Old school made modern. I just bought her little wooden food products from them for her kitchen I got–scratch that Santa’s getting–for Christmas.
I hear that newmom! I’m taking notes on that, push toys for baby. When I buy toys for the kids in my life, I will still try and find old school toys. Everyone of my friends who was expecting got a glow worm from me and the babies love them! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
