I know it has been a while. I promised you a lot of things and then I disappeared. What had happened was … I was kidnapped. No, I could make up an elaborate tale and tell you all the horrific things that happened while I was kidnapped but I wasn’t. Sigh. I could tell you how very sorry I am … but I’m not. This past year I have had so many HUGE life changing events happen all at once, one right after the other, that I could list a page of excuses. I won’t. Let’s just say life happened. You can relate to that, right? The title says it all …life after husbands and babies.
SO, what life changing events happened while I’ve been away?
Daniel and I got married!
Well if you follow us on social media you’ll already know we got married on November 1st of 2014. We actually just celebrated our first year anniversary. YAY us! Learning to live together … well that’s a discussion for another time, but we’re both still alive.
We had a baby.
At the end of August we welcomed a little boy into this world. We named him Mateus Leocardio Cintron Dias or Doc after his initials; MD. He’s my latest excuse. That face though! In the picture he’s two days old and he’ll be four months two sundays from now! How he has changed!
What can you expect now on My Pocketful of Thoughts?
Well … for now I can give you one post a week and when things are easier you’ll hear more. I do have tons of things to share with you and stories to tell you about our year offline. Life after husbands and babies is big stuff!
Hopefully I am back but I make no promises. Life is crazy that way right? You think you know what tomorrow brings and then something unexpected comes along. That’s life.
So what’s going on with you? Share your latest in the comments below!
Until then,

You definitely have a great excuse for being away and I don’t blame you one bit. Congratulations on your one-year anniversary and your baby is so cute! I’m sure you’re having a great time with the milestones. My favorite is when a baby discovers their hands and feet. 🙂
So glad you’ll be blogging again. But family always comes first and sometimes the crazy days do keep us away…but you’re loyal readers will be here :).
Hope you’re having a great day hun!
Cori
