It’s the end of week 4 of the Aprill #Frumpy2Fab Challenge. The challenge was started by Saidah from A Proverbs Wife to up her game while working at home. I started the challenge in February as a way to challenge myself to use the clothes I had in my closet and the makeup I had purchased. I had such great feedback during that month that I was inspired to spread the word. It has been a great learning experience for me. Have you been participating?
[Word of God] Acts 13:14, 43-52
Good morning loves! How are you looking today, FABULOUS right? If you’re just tuning in a few weeks ago, in April’s #Frumpy2Fab Challenge, I challenged everyone to step up their game! Some of us, ladies AND gents, get comfortable at home or at work and we let appearance slide. I am SUPER guilty of this. After having several conversations with some of my friends on the topic, we decided to do something about it. Of course I have to take you along for the ride! Are you taking the challenge? There’s still plenty of time to jump in!
If you are taking the challenge make sure you’re tagging @djrelat7 and #Frumpy2Fab on Instagram or Twitter!
Today on My Pocketful of Thoughts we’re talking about tips to shop like a Fashionista. I was having this conversation with the Traveling Guru Brandi from Mama Knows It All and I told her a few of the tips and tricks that I’ve learned over the years. Happy Shopping ladies and gentlemen!
Until then,
I know you were probably as upset as I was to find out last week that Scandal wouldn’t be on again until the 18th. I had all the second season’s episodes on my Optimum DVR waiting, so I could watch it all at one time right before the season finale. After watching the first season on Netflix I knew I would be impatient to wait a week to watch the next episode. But then one day I talked Daniel into watching it with me. Who wouldn’t get caught up in this novela type show. Since tonight you’re not watching Scandal, you’re free right?
I was at an event on Monday night and a friend of mine, whom I don’t see often, saw me and pointed to her ring finger. Where’s your ring? she mouthed to me. I shrugged my shoulders and mouthed back, Not yet. If I had a dollar for every time I had this conversation for the last ten years I’d be debt free! No lie! It’s coming soon though … you’ll have to talk to Daniel about that. No don’t, because it’ll happen when it happens. In the meantime though I’ll enjoy my single status and the freedom that it implies. I’ll embrace it and start saying my happy goodbyes.
In the meantime I’ve come up with five must dos BEFORE the wedding comes:
